Modified on 2/13/18: I was married to man who was a Type 1 diabetic for over 30 years. He also had sleep apnea, spinal stenosis, neuropathy, gastroparesis, and retinopathy. He had triple bypass surgery and a kidney transplant (I was the living donor). Because of his high and low blood sugars, mood swings were a constant concern. Although I tried very hard to stay, we lost each other along the way. Leaving was a very tough decision for me, but staying was even more difficult.

Taking a trip . . . :-)
I leave tomorrow for an extended trip to 2 different states: one southern and one western. Looking forward to seeing family that I almost never see, but are very dear to me. Will be gone almost 3 weeks, and am giving friends and family a "heads up" that hubby will be on his own. Hopefully, everything will be okay. I worry, but I also really need to get away for awhile: to spend time with family I love, and just to regenerate mentally and physically.

Yes, I am back as of 4 days ago, but just have been very tired. Have been catching up on sleep the last few days. My trip was amazing, as I was able to reconnect with many people I love dearly, including my son. More later . . . :-)
